Downey Products Tonneau Systems Limited Warranty
Lifetime on Frame Work, Snap System and Cover
(Important – please read and retain this warranty for reference. Warranty claims will be
processed only in accordance with the conditions and procedures set forth below.)

Duration and Coverage

Warranted to the original retail purchaser for the truck on which the tonneau cover was originally installed:

• For the full lifetime of ownership by the original purchaser the complete
  unmodified frame system including: rails, bows, clamps, snaps and cover are warranted
  against defect in material or workmanship.
• For two (2) full years after the original purchase date the gas struts on the lift-top
  are warranted against material defect.
  

Downey Products tonneau systems are warranted against defects in material or
workmanship during the time frames specified above. This warranty is rendered void
in cases when the damage is determined to have been caused by accident, neglect,
failure to follow all care instructions, abuse, when the unit has been used in a fashion
other than designed for, improper installation, modifications made after the unit
leaves the factory, or any other defect or damage not resulting directly from defects in
material or workmanship.

Conditions

• Clean only with mild soap and water.
• Do not use vinyl cleaners or protectants (the exception being the current
  formulation of 303-Protectant (current as of 10/01/96))
• When on the frame, the cover must be secured at all points. Failure to do so will
  result in WIND-WHIPPING which will cause the fabric to fail.
• Cargo should not touch the tonneau at any point. Road vibrations could shift
  cargo causing the cargo to push against the tonneau and damage it.
• Clamps or screws should be checked periodically for loosening due to road
  vibration.
  

Failure to follow these conditions and other care/installation instructions provided will
void this warranty.

Warranty Procedure

• A return authorization must be obtained prior to returning any product. Any
  product arriving at Downey Products without a valid return number on the box
  will be refused.
• Approved returns must be made to Downey Products (at the address listed below.)
  Send the specified parts postage-paid along with proof of purchase, a note
  explaining the reason for return, and $15.00 to cover insurance, handling, and
  return postage costs.
• All warranty claims are subject to the evaluation by Downey Products.
• Downey Products will repair or replace (at their option) any material found
  defective under the terms of this warranty.
• Other than the freight/handling characters any valid warranty repairs or
  replacements will be made at the expense of Downey Products.
• A completed warranty card should be on file with Downey Products and original
  dated receipt of purchase provided for the warranty to be valid.
  

Downey Products will not be held responsible for any damage or injury caused by
improper installation or use of its products.
